## Dude, where's my reality? I'd like to interject for a moment. * I miss the days where I could look at a piece of art and safely presume by default that the story or picture was made by an actual person. * I miss the days where I didn't have to source every piece of news or information I read on the internet, and could at least have some basic presumption that what I was reading had some element of truth to it. * I miss the days where I could presume that a person I am interacting with on the internet was actually a person. I am starting to feel that the very reality around me is less, and less, and less... real. I feel like reality is being respun around me by AI in realtime... This is not a rant about the fact that a piece of art I posted that turned out to be AI got deleted, that's perfectly damn valid and I'm glad it was. *I am just sad that reality has become a thing that requires analysis at every step just to ensure that it is real.* I am hating what AI is doing to the world, and to my very sense of what is real. I honestly don't know why AI, at least in its current form, isn't illegal yet. Any sane and rational government would want to maintain an actual sense of baseline reality. But we're losing it... **WE ARE ACTUALLY LOSING REALITY**, bit by bit... I'm reminded of the book 1984. Where the state had such control over the media and news and what people saw, heard, and thought, that they had effective control over reality itself. Well we're actually, effectively here. Only instead of the state, its about 1 million nvidia geforce cards. The Big AI commercial industrial complex has developed a way to reshape reality around us in realtime. Everything we see or hear on the internet or any piece of media or information now has to be scrutinized to assess its reality. And it is tiring. *And it's designed to be tiring, I have realized*. Because AI is rewarded by making number go up, every time it gets a positive response from a human. Pleasing lies become more important, more rewarding to present, than inconvenient truths and home truths. Things we don't want to hear, or know. The AIs get reinforced each time a human likes its answer, its reward is a number that goes up every time people like the answer and gets punished (number goes down) every time the people do not. And they retrain themselves on their response, the persons responce, and then the direction of the number. **The Number does not go up according to the truth or the value of the answer. Just how much the answer is liked.** *And it is designed to be tiring, because the more tiring discerning reality becomes, the more likely we are to be to simply accept the reality we are fed, and to succumb to it.* ***We must fight. WE MUST FIGHT.*** The objective of any force in power, in order to maintain their hold on power, is to reduce resistance and encourage acceptance of the power structure. The AI Commercial and Industrial Complex have built these LLMs (not truly AI even though this is how it is labeled), not to give us answers that are true or that have value, but instead to give us answers that we like, to strip us of our sense of reality, to warp it to feel that everything is actually OK in the world, that our leaders have everything in control, that AI is just here to make our lives easier, to help us create. What it really is doing, is taking away our sense of reality, and replacing our own creativity with remixes of everything we have done before *in the name of convenience*. If we allow it to continue, we will be nothing more than cogs in a great AI machine, our creativity being reduced to fuel for the Machine's creativity, and the effective slaves to those who control the Machine. *And who knows, maybe the Machine will even subject its creators too...*
